How do I choose between all the deals on offer?

'Superfast broadband', 'Unlimited broadband' and 'Free broadband' are slogans that are used increasingly across the market.

How can I guard against hidden costs?

Many companies offering telecoms accounts make an artificial split between 'line rental', 'broadband' and 'call packages'. What can I really expect from deals that offer 'free calls'?

Always take care to read the details where free calls are offered. Usually the free calls apply to landlines in the evenings and weekends only and the pricing of calls to mobiles can be more complex and expensive. With Greenbee all calls to landlines are free - any time of day or night, and we have very competitive rates to international destinations.

How can I work out what I'll be charged for calls to mobile phones?

Some companies present charges to mobiles in a complex table for day, evening and weekend calls. This can make it difficult to know what you can expect from your bill at the end of the month. Additionally, many companies round up the charge of a call, to a mobile to the nearest minute, meaning you often pay for more than you use.

When it comes to a Greenbee account the call rate to mobiles is always the same, just 9p per minute. What's more, we always charge for mobile calls by the second - not by the minute. As such there are no hidden charges - and your monthly bill will not come as a surprise.
