When it comes to choosing a broadband package, there are a lot of alternatives, all of which offer particular download limits, with Greenbee we offer 5GB. We will let you know if you are approaching this limit but should you go over each gigabyte will cost you £2.00.
It's important to understand which download limit will be right for you, before purchasing. Remember - many providers will offer 'unlimited' broadband, but always check first to see if you really need it. Unlimited broadband is a waste of money if you're only a 'recreational' user. See the table at the bottom for an explanation of how much you might use.
There are two factors you need to consider when finding the correct download limit for you:
If you download lots of music and video files and generally use the internet a great deal, you are likely to need a large download limit. Some Internet Service Providers (or ISPs) limit the amount you can transfer in peak times but offer unlimited off-peak (evenings and weekends) transfers. From an ISPs point of view this is a really sensible idea, and as such will probably become more common in the future.
